The Olympic flame once more!

Ancient Olympia is once more bursting with activity, banners being put up all over town, since tomorrow is the lighting of the Olympic Torch for Torino 2006! The place is crawling with people, police making security runs, everything is very much alive! Well, the torrents of rain that keep pouring the last few days are a total drag, even though today we actually had sunshine all morning, so hopefully there will be at least a glimpse of the sun tomorrow at the ceremony, or it won't be much fun, will it?
Anyway, it will be great to attend the ceremony once more! Never a boring sight!

Joom joom joom... Joomla!!

It is about time I updated my website, it has been quite a while now that experimenting and getting Joomla to work has taken up most of my practically non-existent free time!! It is pretty interesting to look for features that I want to incorporate and then, change and personalize the template's interface. The school's website comes next!
Of course, all this in the midst of eTwinning, applications for environmental projects, conferences, seminars, paper for a conference in Thessaloniki next October (houhounaki addicts beware, we are up and running!!!) plus the 8th Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People that is on in a few days time!!! This year, 2 of our students are entering for Camera Zizanio!!! So, good luck to Harris with his movie and Panaghiotis who is featured in it!!!
It's on days like this that I wonder: how is it possible for people to get bored with all this going on? (I haven't taken into account the average of 5-7 dvds that I get to watch on a weekly basis, plus hanging out and chatting with friends!!!!)

1G!!!!!!

Well, just trying out my new 1G flash disk, playing with portable fx and all that jazz!!!! After spending all day long at a conference about distance learning, spending time browsing tech stuff (I'm on the lookout for a decent PDA, it was a drag trying to take notes with my old Visor -Nick, David, I'm still using that) and checking out laptops. Window shopping in Patras, coffee with friends, and.... well, I'm on line now, aren't I???? ;-D
